You may not have to wait too long, but I read RSURS the first time in 2008, so I was pretty desperate to see ANY GB work by the time Scott Lynch posted the RoT stuff.Elfyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09955473789404631382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801846083942298570.post-73223690573666163082012-05-28T17:10:11.707-07:002012-05-28T17:10:11.707-07:00I haven't checked out the bits of RoT yet, but...I haven't checked out the bits of RoT yet, but I almost don't want to. I know I'll get sucked into the story and then I'll be extremely frustrated until I can read the rest.Grace @Bookswithoutanypictureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14926992766158099078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801846083942298570.post-7111462487159266602012-05-26T22:38:24.125-07:002012-05-26T22:38:24.125-07:00Nrylmtrl, Lynch be kind to his characters? They don't give you many clues, but they are fun to read, especially the prologue with 'little Locke'.
Sue, I liked the character development, especially Jean's, but I think that could have been accomplished with a less over busy book as well.Elfyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09955473789404631382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801846083942298570.post-3355062789709110392012-05-26T13:15:23.277-07:002012-05-26T13:15:23.277-07:00I agree with you that RSURS was a little over-stuf...I agree with you that RSURS was a little over-stuffed with plot, but we did see some really wonderful character development for Jean, so it was difficult to choose between the two books.Looks-Mostly-Harmlesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00918651503213054373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801846083942298570.post-22353593140185976182012-05-26T07:46:34.333-07:002012-05-26T07:46:34.333-07:00I definitely think Merrain will turn up again - sh...I definitely think Merrain will turn up again - she's just too enticing and such a mystery - plus some things can go unexplained but I think we really need to find out what her story is.

I haven't checked out any of the prologue of opening chapters to RoT - I must do so! perhaps it will give me a few more clues about certain things.

Lynn :DLynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13928865767523025349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801846083942298570.post-43224595673588595502012-05-26T06:05:24.312-07:002012-05-26T06:05:24.312-07:00I didn't see the end to the pirate battle comi...I didn't see the end to the pirate battle coming either. I guessed that Lynch would kill off a main character before the end, but still. That is such a tough way to go. I think it would have been a kindness for Doc Tregane to release Ezri, instead of telling Jean to do it.nrlymrtlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00572346310916207565noreply@blogger.com
